Pescatarian

I would like to call my self an adventurous eater. I do have exceptions now though. Recently I decided to become a pescatarian. For those who do not know what that means I will give you the definition that Wikipedia gives it means, a practice of a diet that includes seafood but not the flesh of other animals. A pescatarian diet shares many of its components with a vegetarian diet and includes vegetables, fruit, nuts, grains, beans, eggs, and dairy, but unlike a vegetarian diet also includes fish and shellfish.

I have not consumed any land animals for about 5 months now. In all honesty I hardly ate meat before I made the decision to become a pescatarian. There has been mix reviews on my decision. The top questions is, why would you only eat fish, if you cut out all land animals? I guess they wonder why not just become a full vegetarian.  My answer to this question would be I love seafood. I do not think I could cut seafood out of my diet completely. Still I am careful when eating seafood. I always look for good sustainable seafood to purchase.

I still eat weird things I guess. I recently moved back to Indiana but I use to live in Cincinnati, there is an international store called Jungle Jim's. I love going there, you can find so many different things. My advice to you guys is, do not  judge what you eat by the look of the food. You do not  know what you are missing out on if you do that. Overall I wrote this introduction to talk about my food preference and my beliefs. If you have different foods you eat or foods you don't eat leave a comment and tell me. I also want to say this last thing before I leave. Do not say you hate a certain food, if you have not tried it. At least try it before you give a opinion. Who knows you may like it! ^_^
